The rank is soft reset at the end of each split. Starting from season 4, Ranked Series have a standard duration of three months and are divided into two splits. Season 5 Split 2: from June 30 to August 18. Season 5 Split 1: from May 12 to June 30. The first split is based on King’s Canyon, while on June 30th we will move on World’s Edge. Each split has a duration of six weeks, and Respawn will change maps and soft reset our rank at the end of each split. There are no changes to the ranked split system. We’ll be starting with World’s Edge, then moving to Kings Canyon, with the planned split reset on September 29th.
